ANDREI BENO

GROWTH PRODUCT MANAGER at Hotjar

Andrei hails from Romania, but moved abroad 12 years ago. Since then, he's been living across tens of countries all over the world, having founded and grown his own startups or working with companies like Rocket Internet, Techstars, Remote Year, and Revolut.

He loves creating products that users love and that solve real problems, which is what drew him to working in product roles for the past 5 years. He's currently a Growth Product Manager at Hotjar, where he's helping product teams around the world better understand their own users and discover and act on user behaviour insights.

When heโ€™s not at his laptop, you can find him on top of a mountain peak, petting a stray dog, listening to a live music show, climbing a rock wall, eating ice cream for breakfast or getting down on the dance floor.

Experimentation enables teams to quickly test their assumptions, gain learnings, and make informed decisions that lead to better roadmaps.

In this workshop, you'll learn why the most successful product teams all use continuous experimentation and gain practical knowledge on how to:
  • โ†’ Create a sound experiment hypothesis and select the right metrics
  • โ†’ Design an experiment (runtime, power, statistical significance, attribution)
  • โ†’ Roll out your first A/B test
  • โ†’ Interpret the results and avoid biases and false positives
  • โ†’ Create a portfolio of experiments and prioritize between them

You'll leave with a better understanding of why and how to run experiments to validate ideas, gain more confidence, and better prioritize what to roll out. You'll also get useful tips and tools you can use to start your first experiments.
