Consuela Nicula is a product leader who likes building things that actually solve real problems for people, not just look good on a roadmap.
She currently runs Nolum, a product lab, where she and her team help companies across Europe with their product challenges, less a one-stop-shop, more a think tank that plugs in and helps take on product challenges from strategy to organisational systems.
Her background is mainly in telecom, banking, entertainment & pro-tech. She spent several years as Chief Product Officer at Immoweb, and before that worked in product roles at BNP Paribas. Along the way she's helped build some of the digital products Belgians use without really thinking about it, end-to-end digital insurance flows, itsme (the digital ID basically every Belgian now has on their phone), and more recently a property valuation platform for the Belgian real estate market.
What she really cares about is building things that last, products that keep creating value over time instead of chasing a short-term win and fizzling out or unnecessary growth. That's her version of "sustainable."
Born and raised in Romania until the age of 12, she's spent most of her career in Belgium and lives there now. Outside of work, she's a former dance champion & still teaching, speaks seven languages, which comes in handy more often than you'd think.
