Mircea Idriceanu is Head of Data for Group within BCR’s Data Analytics & AI Division, where he is helping shape the bank’s transformation into a more data-driven organization.
His focus goes beyond platforms and technology. He works with teams across the bank to make data easier to understand, trust, and use in everyday decisions, while encouraging more collaboration, ownership, and experimentation.
With more than a decade of experience at BCR, Mircea is currently leading a major data modernization journey, combining Databricks, cloud, and AI capabilities with a broader change in mindset and ways of working.
He is passionate about building strong teams, leading transformations, and turning data from a specialist topic into a shared language across the organization.
